Lisa Mikitarian focused her love of writing fifteen years ago when she became the content writer for a local home school organization’s newsletter. Through those efforts, she has had numerous non-fiction pieces published in home schooling magazines. During this time, she also freelanced for the Northern Virginia Daily in the sports and advertorial departments.
Five years ago, Lisa rediscovered a love for fiction and took several college courses to help her hone those skills. Since then, she’s had various short stories published as part of collaborative projects.
In addition to short stories, Lisa is working on a novel, which has been a finalist in two national fiction contests—RWA Chapter’s Get your Stiletto in the Door and the Faithwriter’s First Chapter Fiction Contest. She also writes devotionals and is a regular contributor to Heartlight and Extreme Woman.
Lisa lives in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Without the support of Sam, her husband of 24 years, as well as the incredible experience it is—the translation of the imagination, intellect, and heart into the written word, she’s grateful for every person who has helped her along this journey.
